Allantoin

Allantoin is a compound found naturally in most organisms including plants, animals and microbes. When used in skin care products, however, it’s created in a laboratory to be the chemical equivalent of its naturally occurring counterpart. Allantoin is used for its moisturising and skin nourishing benefits, as well as its anti-inflammatory and hydration properties. This ingredient is great for sensitive skin because it’s non-irritating, soothing, and softens and protects the skin. Allantoin is often found in night creams, cleansers, and moisturisers.
